I had been away from work since Christmas and will be going back to office tomorrow. It was a good long break for me even though we did not go overseas.
I enjoy the 1st few days relaxing at home since Hubby didn't get the day off. Hubby got his leave approved only from 28 Dec 09 to 31 Dec 09. He did not make any plans so everything was spontaneous.
On 29th, I celebrated my 29th... year of living in this world. Hubby ordered a basket of roses and a cake to surprise me but it did not work as we both went out for lunch with my bestie, Seha and my best dudie, Firdaus (it was a spontaneous invite and we accepted it). We all went to watch Alvin & the Chipmunks 2 at Marina Sq. It was a great movie. I was laughing my jaw off. After the movie, we had ice cream fondue at Haagen Dasz... So syiok! That explains how I gained so much weight (with all these indulgence).
We ordered some food from KFC after that and invited my elder sister and her kiddos together with my lovely neighbours from next door to come by and share the food and the cake. It was just a simple affair but very memorable one. Celebrated my 29th (final year in my twenties) with my close ones...
The next few days were spent at home. Hubby cooked the potato chowder and chee cheong fun, we went out to find the Home Theatre System he promised to get for me (as our wedding anniversary present). We went on a shopping spree (which he pays for everything as my birthday present). We had movie marathons at home, watching Hindi movies, Malay movies and English shows.
When Hubby started working again, I spent the time attending weddings (3 weddings over the weekend) and catching up with my Bestie.
And... tomorrow, I will go back to reality... Work is waiting for me (not sure if it is piling up), but, definitely, I will be buried with work already. I hope to have another long break soon...
