Sorry for the late updates... Been busy, no chance of blogging....
19 July 2008...
Hubby and I went to select our outfits.... For both our wedding photoshoot as well as the event itself. We went to our Bridal House at 1 pm... Waited for awhile for a coordinator to serve us. She brought us up to the 2nd floor. There was another couple who was also selecting their outfits, a Chinese couple.... I can see all the gowns lined u. So excited!
The coordinator (sorry, didn't remember her name), gave us some photos for some traditional outfits to choose from. For nikah, we decided to wear something yellow. And, it was so easy... Cos, it has to be traditional and I am not very particular about the design.
OK, next is the outfit for our day reception.... I saw a high-collared wedding gown which looked mature but Hubby prefers something more "sexy". Our coordinator showed a new design which captured our hearts instantly.... But, it is a lil sexy... Hahah! I hope I won't cause any heart attacks on my wedding day.
The dinner reception.... We told our coordinator that we would like a pink evening gown. And, guess what??? She took our all the punk evening gowns in their collection for me to try... I tried on like 7 to 8 pairs.... I tell you... The dresses were all very heavy and suffocating... I cannot imagine how I am going to survive a whole day changing into 6 different outfits for our photoshoot. After trying out all the gowns, we decided on one.... Finally...
Oh no! That was not the final one... There is one more, the wedding gown for the outdoor photoshoot....
After trying out another "several" gowns, we settled down for one in ivory white....
We had 2 more outfits to choose.... We decided to have the "Kua" and the Victorian gown for the photoshoot....
Next, is Hubby's turn... His was so much simpler... Just to select the tuxedo color and design... How I envy him....!
And, finally.... It's over....
Next visit to the bridal house would be the fitting.....

Service....
I had 3 different experiences today...
As usual, I would leave home at 7 am in the morning and waited for the bus at the bus-stop in front of Temasek Polytechnic. A bus "15" came, and much to my surprise, I was greeted with a "Good Morining" by the Bus Captain. Not just a normal "Good Morning", but, a chirpy and sincere one. He greeted each and every passenger who boarded the bus. There were about 7 to 8 of us waiting then. So, imagine.... He said "Good Morning", eight times.
I was having a fever and had wanted to go visit a clinic at Raffles Place. I was at the registration counter. There were several patients standing around at the counter andI saw that the clinic assistant was handling 2 patients. I merely asked for the form so that I can fill my details in first so as not to waste time. She snubbed me off by saying, "wait ah... one by one, whoevercomes first". She got me on the wrong day. I was having fever and feeling weak and groggy. I said in the nicest tone, "I can see that you are busy. Perhaps you may just pass me the form 1st and I will fill it up myself 1st and pass it to you later. I am feeling weak now and I need to sit."
While waiting for my turn to see the doctor, I can't help but observe howthe clinic assistants work. One of them received a call, and said to the Caller, "My colleagues got call you so many times, how can you say we did not call you at all? You should see missed calls on your phone, what?" And, subsequently, she was bitching about that Caller right in front of all of us as the patients. Goodness! What type of attitude was that? Even if you are unhappy with the comments made by that Caller, you should perhaps go inside the office and bitch about it as much as you want. Not in front of the other patients.
Next, was the cab driver.... As I was already shivering, Hubby (who sent me to the clinic this morning), insisted that we take a cab. In the cab, I told the driver to turn up the aircon as I was feeling cold. Apparently, I think he thought I wanted it to be cooler, he turned down the aircon. Luckily it was still bearable.
Anyway, I reached home safely... After taking some food and my medicine, I wanted to take a nap. Unfortunately, there is a Chinese Funeral Procession at the next block.
I sms-ed my fellow Team Managers and Hubby... "Should have stayed in office. I can't sleep.... There is a chinese funeral procession."
Last night, I keep waking up as I was perpiring non-stop. Plus, because of the noise from the mahjong players at the next block.
I had 2 days MC. Hopefully, I could get well and go to work tomorrow.

Help needed for Mohd Raiyan Shafiq & family...
Dear All.....
Please help Mohd Raiyan Shafiq & family! They are in need of financial assistance. It is really painful to see such a small boy with huge sufferings. Let's do our part as fellow Muslims. Your little bit will go a long way. May your kindness be repaid by Allah s.w.t. Let's all doa for Raiyan's recovery. Ya Allah, please fulfill our doas for Mohd Raiyan Shafiq...Amin.
Below is an excerpt on Mohd Raiyan (from Su27's multiply):-
Hi friends. I need your help. Its about my nephew Mohammad Raiyan Shafiq who had infection of HFMD and the virus had left an injury in his brainstem 2 years ago (1st May 2006) and hes home now using ventilator, oximeter and feeding machine which connected to the feeding tube from his nose to his stomach. In fact, his story was being published in ST on 2nd June 2008, and theres a kind lady by the name of Aisha had broadcast the story to the docs in Singapore and one of the doc who is from Mount E by the name of Dr Prem Pillay who came forward to help. He is a specialist on brain and nerves. We were told that he can only waive the costs of the surgery but the costs of so called pacemaker a substitute of the ventilator machine which will be implant to his heart and the costs of staying in the hospital will be borne by us. As we were told that the chances of his recovery will be 70% -80% The total costs will be more or less than $50K - $75K
I really need you to disseminate this email so that they are more people who will come forward and help us to make this happen. I had email and asked the journalist Salma Khalik to help me to write up the story and she need to liase with Doc Prem Pillay about this surgery before publish it in the newspaper. While waiting for her to do that, this is my other alternative way to raise the fund and i hopes there are more people who will come forward to help Mohd Raiyan Shafiq. The sooner i can raise the fund, the sooner the surgery can be done. To all only God will repay ur kindness. God Bless You All! Tanks a zillion.

Kursus Day 1....
Had our Day 1 at the kursus yesterday, 6 JUly 2008...
Can't believe we are actually going through it.
It was an enjoying one, much to my surprise, cos, I was expecting something serious a little.
I was not well actually, sneezing the whole day but tried to survive through the Day 1.
It was at Marine Parade CC on a Sunday.
Wanted to go look for our ring, but, becos of my FLU, had to back off and head for home. Hopefully, it will be better next week.
Today, I ended up in a clinic, with an early stage of FLU. I want to recover well soon enough. Cos, we have loads to do in the office. Gosh! Can already imagine how many emails I am expecting tomorrow morning....
