Making a Comeback...

Last week, I received a SMS from some old friends... (not literally"old") but, as in we have been friends since the age of 13 yrs old.

Well, the sms was about us making a comeback in the dikir barat scene... To re-open back the group we used to have gone through a lot together for the upcoming competition...

Hoping to have all the pioneer batch back together as a reunion and going through this competition together, just like old times... Heard, the response wasn't great. Mainly, cos' all of us have grown up and are leading our own busy lives withour own commitments towards marriage, family and job. I guess, the priorites in our lives are different.

Initially, I was very excited and tempted to say "yes". However, after being assigned a new project at work last Friday and after a discussion with my fiance, the rational side of me had to make a decision. I do not wish to make a promise or a commitment which is almost impossible. As it is now, I work more than 12 hours at times. I can reach the office at 7.30 am and leave the office close to 9 pm... At the same time, I am also preparing for my wedding and of cos, not to mention, to spend time at home as a part-time maid on weekends (hehe!) and to spend time with my family.

So, finally, yesterday... With such reluctance, I replied to my friend that I am unable to join the group to make the comeback. It may sound disappointing but I know I have to make this decision.

I'm so sorry, my friends... I had to let you all down.... But, if you all are really making the comeback... My full support will definitely be with you.... SRW will always stay in my heart, forever!
