My lil' baby adik, Eizzy has fallen prey to a very bad viral flu... Well, caused by Adik's own stubbornness (sorry, adikku... I have to put this here), the fever prolonged to almost a week. Mother got so worried and we both (plus hubby too!), rushed Adik straight to CGH, A&E. Adik was already "brrrrr-ing" and burning hot at the same time.
At CGH (A&E) once more... (just visited that place as a patient myself abt 3 months ago). Service is slow as ever. We reached the A&E before midnight and guess what time we reached home? almost 3 am....
We went to see this Malay doctor (maybe new to the hospital), Let me recall his name.... Hmm! I think it''s Zul-something... never mind. I truly pity him cos' Adik vomitted in the sink in his room. Yucks! I wonder if the room was stinking... Anyway, he wouldn't take any chance, He took a blood sample from Adik. Can see that he's not good at it. Cos' Adik complained that it was so painful. I had my blood taken so many times. Alhamdulillah, they were all good and versed.
OK, the blood test results were out in abt one hour. Adik was given a room to rest while me, mother and hubby waited outside. So pitiful, hubby had to sleep, sitting on the hard seats.
Well, Adik had no blisters on her hands, feet and mount so HFMD is out. But, the platelets in her blood is low. So, another possibility is dengue...
The funny thing is, Adik wasn't warded. Adik was only asked to come back in 2 days for another blood test to see if it will drop further.
Hospitals... All the experience I had in hospitals... Only 1 deduction.... Either they love drawing blood or drawing $$ from the patients. Well, they're the smart ones who'd be able to find out what is wrong with the patient....
So, Adik has been staying home, mainly cos' Adik's sick, heheh! I just love to tease Adik about this... Else, you won't see Adik at home but at Al-Kadir. Sorry, Adik...
Anyway, the fever still have not subsided. I gave my team building session a miss cos' I was worried that the fever will persist further and we need to bring Adik back to the hospital. Mother is already tired after working 6 days and had to even take care of her grandchildren (from my kakak) yesterday as she was not in town. So, hopefully, Adik would recover soon....
Adik, we all love you and would do anything to help you recover... If you read this, this is my advice....
Please take care of yourself... Try not to keep too many late nights out. I used to be like you too... But, I realise that my body is not as strong as I thought it used to be. It will break down for sure if you decide to push it further.... And, remember, I did remind you on this? It reallly did break down on you. You need to build up your resistence again...
Please, my dear... don't worry mother again... She loves you too much, remember that....
