Is this stupidity???

I was coming home from my facial appointment today. While waiting for the lift, I thought I saw a notice above the lift.

Squinted my eye and indeed, IT IS a notice to the residents...

HOW STUPID can they be? To paste a notice to the resident ABOVE the lift. It was so difficult to read. It's only A4 size and the fonts are so small. It was so high up that you have to strain your neck to read it.

I was so frustrated....

It is our"hantar tanda" or also known as our mini engagement on this date.. Just a simple affair between our families and my very close friends.

Thank you for Joey, Ezzie, Adri for all the help and for being there... To my dearest friend, Seha... It is ok that you weren't there on that day cos I truly understand that you have some things to settle...

Below are some pictures taken as a momento...

Hope that there will be the next updates on the wedding soon... In the meantime, patience is virtue....

In Pain

I was back at work on 1 Mar 08, Saturday. It was only 1/2 day so, I could still survive. Went home straight after work cos I could feel the pain coming back. This time, on my left upper abdomen. The pain seems to love to migrate itself from one place to another.

Promised Hubby that we'll go watch "The Leap Years" that night. Though I was in a little bit of pain, I strengthened myself up and actually went to watch it with him. It was such a romantic movie...

29 February...
A tradition in Ireland which does not allow any man to decline a proposal from a woman... Hmmm!

Ok, Sunday came.... We went to source for Bridal Houses at Geylang Serai... Then, had tea at Teh Tarik Corner.

Soon, Monday came. I went to work. Had to walk slowly cos I was enduring the pain. Reached office safe and sound. Couldn't move around much. But, the pain attacks was coming regularly. I forced myself to endure it. Sms-ed Eizzie to come fetch me from Raffles Place. Eizzie came with Didi and then met Joey on the way, walked VERY slowly to the MRT station, took the MRT (cos taxi fare from town to Tampines is too expensive with the price hike), took the bus after that. The moment I reached home, the very 1st thing I did was pop the painkillers in my mouth.

However, the painkillers didn't seem to help. I was in pain the whole night. Couldn't sleep well. I called KKH at 6 am in the morning to ask to see my gynae that morning. Guess what? They said I had to call the Appointment Hotline after 8 am to fix an appointment. Arrrgh! I was already in pain... I was so angry. Then, I remembered Dr Priscilla Lim who is a GP in a clinic in Bedok. My sister did tell me she has gynaecologist experience. At that moment, I decided to go to her clinic, even though I hated the waiting time there.

I was the 6th patient when I reached there. While waiting, the pain attacks came, one after another. I might have scared some of the patients there. So, my turn came, spent like almost 15 min in that room. I explained to her what happened in the last 2 weeks. After examining my stomach, she took out a diagram of our organs and gave me a short Biology lesson. Don't get me wrong. She did the right thing.

She explained in details what the doctors may have suspected based on the pain that I am experiencing. She even laid out what she suspects:

1. My acute gasthritis
2. Gall Bladder stones
3. Tumor in Pancreas
4. Kidney Infection

But, since the hospital already done the scans and found nothing in my gall bladder, kidneys and pancreas, she believes strongly that it may be caused by my acute gasthritis. Back to square one. About the cyst, we'll just have to monitor till April. But, from now till April, should the pain persist again, even after taking her medication, I should not hesitate to so straight to the hospital.

And, she also asked me for a favor, to reduce my stress level. She understood how I feel... The part, where I am feeling so much pain but even the doctors cannot tell me what was wrong. The anxiousness of not knowing what will happen if the cyst grows and whether there is a need to remove it. She knows that the waiting time is tormenting. But, she wants me to do things as per normal and wait for Apr to come.

She truly touches my heart. She was the only one who tried to explain to me in details why the tests were required and what the doctors were really up to. She told me to continue with my dosage of Omeprazole, and issued me Hyamide and Librax. And guess what, it helped. The pain attacks were lesser and I haven't had an attack since yesterday.

To Dr Priscilla Lim from Lee Clinic in Bedok, Blk 123.... Thank you very much!
